The Danage Targets are designed to be used with a Powerstop or a DeadStop.

Danage being a closed cell foam structure is better in wet environments than an open cell foam as it doesn’t accept water. Water however reduces the stopping ability as the water reduces friction, and thus the arrows will go further thru the target.  QLD has been the place where I have received two questions regarding this, and I believe it is due to the amount of rain and humidity.

I use and advise the addition of the Dead Stop (in my opinion the best option, at RRP of around $89.99 ), you can buy the Powerstop but I have found that whilst this works it is not the best option and is about double the price.  It will the life of the core.

These are a great Target, mine has been out in the open weather since 2005 when I started shooting DANAGE.

Great target, we use these at the Southern Vales Archery Club in our portable stands.
We also use a stop bag like the Delta dead stop behind the main core for the higher poundage compounds. ours have been in use for over a year and the oldest is about 3 years old and still going, this one also has a eleven 24 core fitted as we found this the best for prolonging the life off the target
